| Information | I am a photographer and artist. Photography is my major but I also make use of painting, musical, and printmaking mediums. The photos I make and would like to continue with range from fashion and artistic, to documentary work with both black and white and colour films used on most ventures. I am interested in meeting models and other photographers to build my own as well others portfolios. I will model for other photographers as well, as at times I tire of doing self portraits and would like to see how others work and see things.
Making the photos I take of people have something more than just a surface beauty to them is what I strive for, to capture something about the subject in the image. I use this outlook for not just portraits and spontaneous photos but for fashion work as well. I think there should always be something more than a wondrous image of a beautiful person in beautiful clothing, it should be this but with the addition of a personable quality in some aspect of the image.
I use photography in the conventional use of the term. This is to say that everything I shoot is done with the use of 'traditional' means, I use traditional to differentiate between digital imaging and photography. Photography is all that makes use of a chemical process of light reacting with a sensitized emulsion, whereas digital imaging is just that, an image not a photograph. I do not make use of a digital camera thus if you would like to work with me you need to consider that do to the medium instant results cannot be shown, it will take about a week before the prints will be finished. I do scan the negatives as most people require the photos to be in a digital format for their own uses, ad these are of equal if not better quality to digitally captured images.
I use 35mm, 120, 4x5 and 8x10 film formats depending on the conditions and restraints of the shoot. Studio and location work are both things that I am interested in and wanting to continue to develop. | |
